Message 1054 - Posted: 31 Mar 2025, 17:28:17 UTC - in response to Message 1052.

Those of you on Windows 7, when the app crashes, check the slot folder and post the contents of a file called "stderr_file"

I don't have any Windows 7 machines to test on, so this will be helpful in diagnosing the issue.

NO GO!
I tried to stop the tasks many times as soon as crash but it's already removed itself from the slots directory.
Any way to try a manual run outside of BOINC?

Yes, it is easy in the case of this app. Just copy a task to a temp directory along with the application and run the task as a parameter to the application.

Suspend does not - tasks continue to run but BOINC shows them as suspended.

Same for me on two PCs with v1.1

Why is it a new app instead of another version? Why do admins not run their apps in BOINC prior to sending it to the masses? A v1.1 is no longer 'beta' and beta should at least run.

100% failure rate on CPU tasks here, too.

The same happens on my ARM on Linux devices with version 1.0. The app seems to think that it is running under Windows.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the reports :)

I'll get these resolved this morning. In the meantime, I'll disable the new version of the app.

The new version (1.1, or tasks containing 2.03 in the name) should be fixed and running now.

Happy crunching :)

I only have ldd --version ldd (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.31-0ubuntu9.17) 2.31
Is that why these tasks are aborting. I have the latest kernel

I've cancelled the unassigned tasks. Windows seems to be functioning at the very least.

I had built out more test harnesses today before pushing this but clearly I missed things. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The old version will continue to run in the meantime.
