I too am also curious about what other computations can be done. I am brand new here, so I don't know all the technical details, but it would be interesting to be able to chose different workloads to compute. Tall cactus, interesting biome locations, an end portal that is completely filled in, etc. |

Throwing into Google: Most of the activity is happening on our Discord, some pending projects are finding the seed which was used for the main menu's panorama image, and finding large emerald ore veins; pack.png is also pending but we're relying on an external team to provide us with the code. We've discussed wanting to incrementally build capability to take any screenshot and locating the seed which can be used to generate that same world, small parts of each project feed into each other. I expect we'll have more and more common libraries and functions which will allow us to rapidly spin up new projects based on the community's feedback and ideas. |

Well, been over two weeks since the last post! Recap, if anyone hasn't seen the news in the News board: Jul 10: Adjusted cactus seed range & tasks down to 120,000, from 230,000 Jul 19: 12:49am EST Found the old Minecraft main menu (Panorama!) Jul 22: Completed ~70% of all tasks, greatly increased our average working power to 4.2 PetaFLOPS and 1,500 computers with credit. Will the PACK project only be using the original PACK.PNG or will it also utilize the AI upsized image too to aide in the search? |
