Looks there is a bug where the nVidia client is still running despite my client being set to Suspend when computer is in use. I then set BOINC to NOT run GPU and the client is still crunching away... It seems it's not observing the GPU preferences but the CPU preferences as it does pause when I Supend the client. Cheers, Yavanius |

I've removed the NCI flag from the app, could you let me know if this behaviour has changed, please. |

This functionality works fine for me, though. We're running the same code as well What are your preferences in BOINC application -> Options -> Computing preferences? Make sure suspending GPU and CPU compute is ticked, and a time like 15 minutes is in for GPU if you leave it for extended periods when not used. Additionally, make sure Use GPU based on Preferences and Run Based on Preferences are clicked/selected. I was able to make my GPU start and stop kaktwoos repeatedly. by moving my mouse after I set it low. The current task still resumed from its checkpoint as expected so suspending work does not lead to loss of progress |

I will try resetting the project after this new WU completes and see if that affects things any but behavior is still the same. Also, been a little whiles since I ran any GPU work on BOINC, but BOINC and driver are still the same and I've never seen that issue on any other projects ever. Yav |

Hi chip (potato? silicon? poker?), I reset the project this morning and the nVidia (and Intel) clients are properly reflecting the GPU run restrictions now. Don't know if the Intel client was affected as I didn't have any prior to this morning. Nice to see an iGPU client. Not many of those these days. Cheers, Yavanius |

I'm glad, we also pushed a change today to specifically resolve this issue. |
