Hi all, I can't seem to post replies in the forum, therefore this new thread. What you guys have introduced are not badges. Top x % comes and goes. Badges are permanent, awarded for reaching thresholds. :-) But anyway, cheers to you, KPX |

Yes, the only permanent badge so far is the 'Founder' badge for taking part in the beta-testing. I don't believe there's a difference in nomenclature for the the transient/ephemeral badges you describe. I will be introducing more 'permanent' badges in the coming days. |

how often are the "Top" badges (you know - gold, silver, bronze) updated. Seems a bit of a mess right now. And i know back in July there was mention of static badges mentioned; haven't heard anything about those since. |

My apologies, boysanic, I don't have the information for exporting to BOINCStats. Hopefully, someone a little more experienced in that area can help. You might also consider contacting another project's admin that does export there. Steve

Hi Steve, It starts with you exporting the stats to a file, then making that file publicly downloadable in a certain folder where the stats sites will grab it and import it into the stats. The problem is I don't know any more than that ie what kind of file or the actual folder to put it in. You can chose how often to run the stats on your system, some projects do it multiple times per day while other projects only do it once per day. |

Hi Mikey, I think we are exporting stats, at least to some degree: https://www.boincstats.com/stats/189/project/detail/ I'm just not sure how to export badges so y'all can use them :) I'll see what I can dig up about it. Also, to put it out there, I do intend on putting out badges for pano121, loneliest seed, and xoroshigo. No timeline on that quite yet but it will happen! |
