I would like to possibly add this project to the BOINCGames.com competitions. It seems you guys have plenty of work to last the rest of the year.

Would this be okay?

www.boincgames.com is a year long BOINC competition where users earn BG points for running different projects throughout the year. Each year is divided into four quarters and 6 sprints to earn points on. Users and teams with the most points at the end of the year are deemed the winners of that year.

I don't mind. Do you need anything from us to make it happen?

Thanks for the permission. I do not need anything. You already export stats and that's all I need.

My stats collection bot got banned from Minecraft@home at the start of a Sprint.

Sprint has been cancelled due to this. In the mean time, the ban is also going to effect the Marathons. If this ban is temporary, then it's fine. If not, then the Marathons and Minecrafts@home participation on BG will not be possible.

Seems it might have actually been banned by my own firewall. D'oh.

To do a sprint we need to download a few hundred users' XML stats pages once per hour for a few days. I also discovered that requests for individual XML stats, like this, don't work right for automated users. If one gets past the JavaScript that shouldn't be there, it initially redirects to the non-XML stats.

How can I help? Not sure what we can do to rectify this.

We do have some anti-bot measures in place due to high amounts of spam and resource contention caused by bot users.

For now, we're fine. I worked my bot around your anti-bot measure.

Ideally, XML pages should always be accessible without anti-bot measures. If that's not possible, please let us know if you implement any additional anti-bot measures.

I'll ask our host if they can carve out exceptions for specific endpoints like that.
