When setting BOINC to activity to suspend, even though in the gui is says the task is suspended the process is still running and the progress bar continues to go up. Also if you go to options -> computer preferences and set BOINC to use %50 of the cpu, from %100 even though half the tasks switch from running to waiting to run, they are still running in background and their progress bars are going up in BOINC. The current tasks seem to be xoroshigo_1.05.3_config-001 |

I had the same issue with my i7 12700KF. Im running on all threads (20) but suspending makes the tasks appear suspended but about 6-10 tasks (changes each time) will continue to use my cpu and progress. in order to stop it I've had to shut down Boinc when I want to do something else on the computer. |

Hi, I'm fairly certain this is a bug in the wrapper app provided by BOINC, so I'll be submitting this as a bug report to them. The bug seems to be that stopping the wrapper's process via the boinc app doesn't stop the child process. So the child continues to run. Regardless, the wrapper is something I'm actively working on, so I appreciate the additional reports. |

This also happens on the GAIA project, suspend the project and it keeps right on going till finished. Conan |

For me at least, the new 1.1.1.02 (or whatever) version of this is no longer having this happening. |
